COURSE OVERVIEW
The qualities of a forklift as well as the correct way to operate it are covered in this innovative new training program. Learners gain an understanding of the need of operating forklifts in a safe manner via the use of reenactments of actual accidents and events involving forklifts.
During training, incident prevention measures are discussed. These include things like knowing how to operate your forklift; checking and fueling/charging the forklift; lifting, carrying, and placing the cargo correctly; and driving safely. In addition, the training teaches participants how to recognize potentially dangerous driving situations, the proper way to load trucks and railcars, and safe practices to follow when working in close proximity to pedestrians and other forklifts.
